Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Lead risk analyses and safety audits, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Develop and oversee advanced health and safety training programs, and provide training for managers
- Collaborate with management and department heads to develop and update safety protocols and procedures
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees, including emergency response drills at all levels of the organization
- Manage incidents and coordinate corrective actions, while supervising the use of PPE and managing Health and Safety projects
- Prepare detailed reports for management and communicate the results of Health and Safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and application at plant level
- Knowledge of machine guarding, housekeeping, electrical safety, blood born pathogens, etc.
- Expertise in risk analysis, safety audits, incident management and implementation of corrective measures
- Experience in Change Management
- Experience in building and supervising health and safety programs
- Effective management of PPE and Health and Safety projects
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements related to industrial equipment and production operations
- Ability to travel between sites
