Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and every other Saturday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
CK Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist to join our independent community pharmacy in McPherson, Kansas. This position is a great opportunity for someone who values patient relationships, personalized care, and being part of a pharmacy that is trusted by its community.
We are open to candidates seeking either a long-term staff pharmacist role or someone interested in growing into a leadership position. Pharmacy Manager or PIC experience is preferred, but not required. For the right person, training, mentorship, and a path toward PIC responsibilities may be available.
This role may be a strong fit for a pharmacist who enjoys community pharmacy, wants to know patients by name, and is looking for a stable place to contribute long-term.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Counsel patients on medication use, safety, adherence, side effects, and dosage
- Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and support patient care
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and efficient operations
- Help supervise, train, and support technicians and pharmacy staff
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, stocking, and expiration date monitoring
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of medications, including controlled substances
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and compliant pharmacy environment
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Build strong relationships with patients, providers, caregivers, and the local community
- For qualified candidates, assist with leadership duties and potential future PIC responsibilities
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Active Kansas pharmacist license, or ability to obtain
- Community pharmacy experience preferred
- Pharmacy Manager, PIC, or leadership experience preferred, but not required
- PioneerRx experience preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and controlled substance requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Interest in long-term growth within independent community pharmacy
