The Manager of Continuous Improvement, Quality, and EHS is responsible for leading and integrating quality management systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure production requirements are met or exceeded while maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Provides leadership and direction to Quality, Continuous Improvement, and EHS team members, including auditors and specialists, as applicable.
· Coaches cross-functional teams and leaders in quality, safety, and improvement methodologies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Quality & Compliance
· Oversee all aspects of quality management within print and bind operations.
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and process controls to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO).
· Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
· Manage customer complaints, nonconformances, and corrective action processes to drive rapid resolution and sustained improvement.
Continuous Improvement
· Lead continuous improvement strategy using Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and cost performance.
· Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
· Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities across departments.
· Partner with all production areas to improve processes and eliminate waste.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
· Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
· Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and workplace safety regulations.
· Lead safety training, awareness programs, and risk assessments.
· Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
Training & Culture
· Develop and deliver training programs focused on quality tools, continuous improvement, and safety best practices.
· Promote a culture of accountability, prevention, and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
Other Responsibilities
· Conduct inspections and process reviews at various stages of production, as applicable.
· Support process changes, and capital projects from a quality and safety perspective.
· Prepare and present reports on quality, improvement initiatives, and EHS performance to leadership.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 5 years of progressive experience in quality, continuous improvement, and/or EHS roles within a manufacturing environment (printing preferred).
Desired Skills and Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of print production and binding processes.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and EHS management systems.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, training, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate all departments within the organization’s facilities.
Travel Requirements
· Minimal travel for company meetings, etc.
