Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hangers/finishers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the drywall installation process, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Drywall Hanger will play a crucial role in the construction and remodeling of residential and commercial spaces.
Duties
- Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Measure, cut, and shape drywall materials to fit around fixtures and openings.
- Secure drywall panels using screws or nails, ensuring they are properly aligned and fastened.
- Apply tape and joint compound to seams between panels for a smooth finish.
- Sand surfaces to prepare for painting or finishing.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including masons, remodelers, and restoration specialists, to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in flooring installation, tile laying, or other maintenance person tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation or related fields such as masonry, remodeling, or the restoration industry.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and construction estimating.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in drywall hanging and general construction practices.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
