Job Title: Corporate Legal Assistant
Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Corporate Counsel, Corporate Legal Assistant will be providing administrative and clerical support to the legal team by assisting with the preparation of legal documents, managing case files, conducting research, and ensuring the efficient operation of the legal department. The role involves collaborating with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, a proactive problem-solver, and a collaborative team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Information System (Contracts/Legal Advice)
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound and align with the company’s interests.- Assist in the management and recordkeeping of executed contracts, standard contract templates, the company’s intellectual property, and related documentation.
- Compliance System Operations
- Provide advice on potential liabilities and work to protect the company’s legal interests in various transactions and operations.- Coordinate with internal departments and management teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks, ensure compliance, monitor ongoing compliance, and update company policies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.- Train employees on legal matters and company policies to foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
- Collaboration with Korean Headquarters
- Create ad-hoc and routine reports, manage and continuously improve communication processes, and collaborate with the parent company/affiliate(s) in South Korea.- Other Duties as Assigned.
- Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of legal experience with substantial in-house experience parallel to a law firm environment
- Effectively manages a high volume of work through various methods of organization, project and task management, and prioritization as needs evolve
- Ability to think strategically, anticipate potential problems, and design creative, out-of-the-box solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within a global organization and familiarity with working cross-culturally and with those of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of franchise law, real estate law, and construction law is preferred.
- Korean bilingual skills preferred

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
