Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead DSP/House Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with individuals and their direct care staff to determine their medical and physical needs, oversite of direct care staff, providing accurate/detailed documentation, attendance to meetings and ensuring each individual gets high-quality, individualized care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about developmental and intellectual disabilities and their services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, individuals, families, and direct care staff
- Help with individualized care plans
- Educate individuals on their rights and options for their care/goals.
- Create goals for staff and monitor progress toward goals
- Recruit and train staff
- Create schedules
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Care Coordinator or in a similar position is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
