About the Opportunity
CJ Bio America is seeking a motivated individual or small business to operate our onsite food trailer serving employees at the Fort Dodge plant. The trailer serves Korean and/or Western-style dishes for lunch and dinner in a clean, safe, and friendly environment. This is a revenue-based opportunity as an independent contractor, not an employee position.
The operator will manage the entire food trailer business — including menu planning, cooking, ingredient purchasing, and daily operations — and will retain all sales revenue after expenses.
Operation Details
- Cook and serve approximately 50 meals for lunch and 10 meals for dinner on weekdays
- Monday–Friday operation (no dinner service on Fridays)
- The operator is responsible for purchasing ingredients and managing costs
- All meal revenue belongs to the operator after expenses
Estimated Sales
- Weekly estimated revenue: $3,000–$5,000
- Actual profit will vary depending on ingredient costs and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to cook Korean and/or Western-style dishes
- Reliable, self-motivated, and organized
- Must strictly follow food safety and sanitation standards, and maintain a clean and safe cooking and serving environment at all times
- Must have or be willing to obtain all required business registrations and permits to operate as an independent business entity in the State of Iowa
- (e.g., business registration, state/county tax registration, and applicable federal, state, or local food service licenses or permits)
Salary : $3,000 - $5,000
