Job Description
Job Title: Food Service- ACGC High School Reports To: Building Principal
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary arts certification preferred.
Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in an institutional or school setting.
Supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen environment.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and menu planning.
Familiarity with dietary requirements and allergen management.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and maintaining safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (e.g., food supplies, equipment).
Capability to work in a hot, humid kitchen environment.
Work Environment:
School kitchens and cafeteria settings.
Collaborative work with administrative staff, students, and kitchen team members.
