Business Tax Advisor
Location: Seattle, WA
We are seeking a Business Tax Manager to deliver proactive, planning-driven tax services for our clients’ closely held businesses. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with practical advice in a collaborative wealth management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and sign off on federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnerships
- Manage the full compliance process, including estimates, extensions, and K-1 coordination
- Advise on entity selection, restructuring, and tax-efficient operating strategies
- Develop compensation and distribution planning strategies for business owners
- Analyze and recommend retirement plan options in coordination with broader planning objectives
- Support exit and succession planning, including business sales, ownership transitions, and generational transfers
- Collaborate with financial advisors and other internal specialists to integrate business tax strategies into comprehensive client planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience with an extensive background in entity taxation
- CPA or JD required; Master’s in taxation preferred
- Ability to manage multiple client engagement and projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Willingness and desire to be part of a team
