EVS Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced EVS Manager to oversee Environmental Services operations in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment while leading EVS staff and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and infection-control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Environmental Services operations and workflow.
- Lead, schedule, train, and support EVS staff.
- Ensure patient care areas, common areas, and other assigned spaces are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Monitor cleaning standards, quality, safety, and infection-control practices.
- Conduct inspections and address cleanliness or service issues promptly.
- Maintain appropriate supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Ensure staff follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams to support patient and staff needs.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate EVS documentation.
- Respond to operational concerns and help implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or a related healthcare setting.
- Healthcare or hospital EVS experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, sanitation, and healthcare cleaning standards.
- Ability to train and motivate staff while maintaining high service standards.
- Comfortable working with cleaning equipment, supplies, and inventory systems.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
