Overview
A private school program is seeking a Substitute Registered Nurse to support students with developmental and multiple physical disabilities. The RN will work closely with a transdisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and social workers to support student health and wellness goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform G-tube feedings and medication administration
- Monitor seizures and provide daily health monitoring
- Deliver hands-on nursing care to students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and follow care protocols
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey
- Current BLS Certification required
- Substitute School Nurse Certification required
- PALS Certification preferred
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred
