Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Shift: Full-Time
Qualifications
- Certification and active licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N)
- Experience with SPECT and PET imaging, especially within cardiac care (preferred)
- Strong technical competency with nuclear imaging equipment and quality control procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
- High attention to detail with a commitment to safety, compliance, and accurate documentation
- Ability to maintain regulatory standards and support departmental accreditation efforts
Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies under physician direction
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to produce SPECT and PET scans for physician interpretation
- Perform cardiac imaging procedures to evaluate and identify potential abnormalities
- Take detailed patient histories, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout exams
- Calculate, measure, and document radiation dosages and radiopharmaceutical preparation
- Conduct quality control checks, calibrate equipment, and maintain accurate technical records
- Safely handle and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Assist with accreditation processes by maintaining thorough and compliant documentation
