Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense (NYC)
Position Overview
A prominent national mid-sized law firm is seeking a driven and experienced Associate Attorney to join our litigation team in New York City. This role is ideal for a practitioner with 3 to 7 years of experience in insurance defense who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to elevate their career within a stable, growth-oriented firm.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving complex litigation. We are looking for specialists in one or more of the following areas:
- Premises Liability
- Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA)
- Property Damage
- Labor Law
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage cases from inception through resolution or trial.
- Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and draft substantive motions and legal memoranda.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and clients to provide strategic legal counsel and regular status updates.
- Perform comprehensive legal research and develop effective defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of New York.
- 3–7 years of dedicated experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong analytical, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
