As our Accounts Receivable Manager, you will oversee the full AR cycle for a high-volume service company. You will manage client accounts across commercial and municipal contracts, and work closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure cash flow stays strong. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, trade-industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoice online payments , collections, and deposits
- Monitor aging reports and drive timely collections on outstanding balances
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial, municipal, and residential clients
- Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare and present AR reports, KPIs, and cash flow forecasts to senior management
- Develop and enforce AR policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Work with legal counsel on escalated collections matters when necessary
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience in a service-based industry (plumbing, construction, waste management, utilities, or similar trade preferred)
- Strong knowledge of billing, collections, and cash application processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
