Our client, a well-established General Contractor, is seeking a motivated Construction Assistant Superintendent to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career with a company delivering high-profile commercial construction projects across sectors including healthcare, education, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and corporate interiors.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing daily on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards
- Monitor project schedules and support the delivery of key milestones
- Conduct daily site walks, identify issues, and help implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and equipment logistics
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates
- Work closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Engineers to ensure successful project delivery
- Assist with punch lists, project closeout, and turnover
Requirements
- 2 years of commercial construction experience in a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or Field Engineer role
- Experience managing subcontractors on active construction projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software is preferred
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus
