Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute insulation layouts.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, caulking, or applying other preparatory treatments to ensure optimal insulation adhesion.
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, masons, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot installation issues and adapt plans as needed for complex projects.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and properly handling tools such as airless paint sprayers or masonry equipment.
- Assist in the fabrication of custom insulation components or trim carpentry elements to fit unique project requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with familiarity in insulation installation practices.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence.
- Knowledge of related trades such as plastering, roofing, framing carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, masonry, or HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of fabrication processes and construction techniques.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting on-site challenges.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members across various trades.
