Responsibilities
- Perform tire inspections, repairs, rotations, and replacements on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools and power tools to mount, dismount, balance, and align tires efficiently
- Conduct automotive diagnostics related to tire wear issues or other mechanical concerns affecting tire performance
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes and basic mechanical repairs to support overall vehicle health
- Operate equipment safely during heavy lifting tasks involving tires and related components
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, recommending tire solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and communicate effectively with team members about ongoing maintenance needs
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred for comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical principles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment for tire servicing and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics to identify issues impacting tire wear or vehicle performance
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and provide professional assistance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires efficiently
- Experience in sales or recommending products/services that enhance vehicle safety and performance is a plus
