Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced bar environment. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting bartenders by ensuring that the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the food and beverage industry while working in a vibrant atmosphere.

Duties

• Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Stock and replenish supplies, such as liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, and glassware as needed.
• Clear empty glasses and bottles from tables and the bar area to ensure a tidy environment.
• Support with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
• Communicate effectively with bartenders and other staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial for maintaining hygiene standards.
• Experience in catering or hotel environments is a plus but not mandatory.
• A proactive attitude towards cleaning and maintaining the bar area is essential.
• Familiarity with bussing techniques to assist with clearing tables when necessary.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: Mondays 6pm - 1am
