The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for a Project
Monitor II position in the Department of Economic Development. The
Project Monitor II is responsible for overseeing and monitoring
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services and Public
Facility Improvement projects. Under the direction of the Director of
Neighborhood Development, the position will track grants, projects, and
program progress, including developing and establishing contracts that
include compliant, measurable and impactful outcomes and deliverables.
The Project Monitor II will maintain professional and timely
communication and oversight to grant sub-recipients and their staff and
provide statistical analysis, reports, mapping etc., to the Neighborhood
Development Division. Additionally, this position will assist in special
initiatives undertaken by the Neighborhood Development Division. The
Division annually administers several million dollars of grants,
projects, and programs that support low-to moderate income residents of
the City of Worcester, as well as built environment projects in various
neighborhoods. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in

REQUIREMENTS: \~ Bachelor\'s degree in public administration, project
management, community development, urban planning, or related field, OR;
Any equivalent combination of education, training and two (2) years of
Relevant Experience Which Provides The Required Knowledge, Skills, And
abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be
considered in lieu of above requirement. \~ Experience with creating,
reviewing, and processing project financial and/or data reports \~
Excellent communication skills \~ Valid driver\'s license and access to
reliable transportation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \~ Three (3) years of
experience in monitoring grant or community development projects,
monitoring non-profit or community development projects or monitoring
social and human services or public facility improvement programs. \~
One (1) year of experience with creating, reviewing, and processing
