We are looking for a professional, strategic, and empathetic HR Business Partner (HRBP) specializing in Employee Relations to champion a high-performance culture. In this role, you will balance objective conflict resolution with proactive engagement strategies to ensure a fair and respectful workplace.
As a critical liaison, you will:
    • Partner with management to translate business goals into actionable people strategies.
    • Advocate for employees to ensure their voices are heard and concerns addressed.
    • Advise on complex issues, including performance coaching, labor law compliance, and workplace investigations.
This position reports to the HR Manager for Employee Relations and is designed for a data-informed problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.



  • Conducts thorough, objective internal investigations into workplace complaints and ensures timely resolutions in accordance with best practices
  • Counsels employees and supervisors on policy matters
  • Reviews, researches, and recommends revisions to internal policy
  • Partners with managers to address performance gaps and deliver high-impact coaching
  • Supports staff in the performance management process
  • Conducts training in areas of expertise as required
  • Prepares and distributes regular and ad hoc written reports
  • Mediates workplace disputes between individuals and groups
  • Maintains employee information across electronic systems
  • Supports benefits administration for a comprehensive suite of employee benefits
  • Liaises with external agencies
  • Drafts communications for review and publishing by leadership
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Tracks, records, and analyzes investigative data to identify workplace trends and develop/recommend proactive mitigation strategies
  • May assists in the administration of leave programs
  • Serves as a compliance officer for various local, federal, and state regulations
  • Maintains current knowledge of HR trends and recommends innovation opportunities
Successful candidates will exhibit, through application materials and assessments if selected for advancement in the hiring process:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • Training as a generalist in Human Resources work;
  • Ability to work independently and on a team;
  • Effective relationship-building skills with internal and external partners;
  • Advanced critical thinking and logical reasoning ability;
  • Fundamental knowledge of Human Resources practices, including:
    1. Benefits Administration
    2. Employee Relations
    3. Employee Development
  • Enhanced understanding of federal and equal employment practices and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of federal anti-discrimination statutes
     
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will possess the following minimum education and experience or equivalency:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational psychology, communications, or a closely related field
    • Closely related fields will include at least 60 course hours in the above subjects
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience with significant work in conducting workplace investigations and personnel policy compliance

Preferred candidates will have:
  • At least one (1) industry-recognized Human Resources certification (e.g. SHRM-SCP/CP, SPHR/PHR, IPMA-SCP/CP)
  • Formal training and/or certification in mediation and workplace investigations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires sitting and occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
