What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Communications Specialist position at City of Winchester?
- Ability to work varying shifts, flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, and regular reliable attendance
- Answers emergency and non-emergency calls, requests for service including law enforcement, fire and emergency medical assistance
- Receives and transmits messages by radio and tracks all apparatus/units through Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
- Utilizes multiple maps to confirm locations and assist both internal and external customers
- Prioritizes and dispatches emergency responders and/or appropriate resources
• DCJS Certification
• Priority Dispatch Certification
• 3 years of emergency communications dispatch experience
