What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at City of Winchester?
- Assists with routine Plumbing repairs
- Assists with routine Electric repairs
- Assists with routine Carpentry repairs
- Assists with routine HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) repairs
- Maintain parking lots, streets & sidewalks during winter/weather events (including12 hour shifts possibly nights, weekends & holidays)
- Special Events (i.e. Loudoun Street Mall & Shenandoah Valley Apple Blossom Festival)
- Perform exceptional external & internal customer service to the Citizens of Winchester & fellow employees
- Ensures equipment, tools and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and secured
- Responsible for sweeping, blowing parking lots, Loudoun Mall and sidewalks when needed
- Assist in other areas of Facilities Maintenance (including Parking Authority) as needed
- Responsible for taking FM phone and being on-call nights and weekends as assigned
Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required with some experience in construction/maintenance activities as related to buildings and grounds.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possession of a valid and appropriate driver’s license.
