What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at City of Winchester?
We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician! Based on our career development plan, there are three different position levels available based on experience. Below is a brief summary of each level and the requirements:
Maintenance Technician I
- Starting Salary - $36,108.80
- Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Starting Salary - $37,876.80
- All requirements stated above for Maintenance Technician I plus three years related experience
- Starting Salary - $41,745.60
- All requirements stated above for Maintenance Technician I and II plus 5 years related experience, certification or 5 years equivalent basic experience in plumbing and electrical work, valid CDL class B license, and certificate in Duncan or comparable parking meter maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meter Enforcement:
- Patrol on foot to monitor parking areas
- Write tickets for parking violations
- Use a portable hand-held parking ticket writer/printer
- Maintenance:
- Maintain gate arms
- Ensure time and date accuracy of equipment
- Remove snow
- Gather and dispose of refuse and recycling
- Assist in parking meter maintenance and meter money collection
- Other duties as assigned
