Job Title

Maintenance Worker I – Parks 

What you’ll do - Key Responsibilities

• Perform upkeep & general maintenance of parks, green spaces, city building grounds, right of ways and business districts. 
• Provide lawn care including mowing grass and planting trees
• Conduct sports field maintenance
• Monitor irrigation throughout parks and city buildings
• Physical labor, such as, facility maintenance, and ability to operate light equipment is required.  
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 100 lbs., is required.   

Additionally, cross training in the area of horticulture and plant maintenance will be available.    

You Have (Knowledge & Abilities):

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED, Associates, or higher degree preferred. 
• Minimum two (2) years of related work experience 
• Valid Missouri Class E Driver’s license with ability to obtain the required Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement within six months 
• Must be able to pass a Pre-employment DOT Drug Screening 

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered by the city. 

Salary : $45,314 - $63,439
