What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Billing Clerk/ Energy Services Coordinator position at City of Wadena?
Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical work in providing administrative support and accounting activities related to utility billing for electric, water and sewer utilities. Implements, tracks, and promotes energy conservation and load management programs. Operates and maintains AMI, load management and distribution automation system
· Calculates, prepares, and oversees all electric, water and sewer utility bills.
· Maintains utility records including rebates, work orders, safety training records and various reports.
· Promote, enhance and tract customer participation in energy conservation and utility programs.
· Operates and maintains load control system.
· Operates and maintains AMI system.
· Prepares and maintains various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
· Creates and maintains files and records to ensure City information is complete, accurate and current.
· Handles collections of delinquent accounts, resolves questions, problems, or conflicts with billing.
· Creates and maintains Gopher State One Call locates and postings as needed.
· Prepares bank debits and transfers.
· Responds to inquiries from the public, contractors, and electricians regarding utility policies.
· Programs and updates electric and water meters.
· Able to navigate the City of Wadena GIS mapping system.
· Communicates with work crews.
· Assists City Administrator and Utilities Superintendent with tasks as assigned.
· Assists other staff as necessary. Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.
Pay: $ $39.62 per hour
