What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services position at City of University Park?
Responsible for assisting customers with registration, daily admission, inquires, monitoring activities and serving food at the Holmes Aquatic Center
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Respond to and resolve customer issues and requests
- Perform clerical duties including but not limited to point-of-sale transactions, membership sales, and facility bookings
- Reconcile daily deposits
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of concession and guest service areas
- Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Serve food items to guests
- Follow established City of University Park policies and procedures
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance
Working Conditions
Work is performed indoors and outdoors and involves direct contact with the general public. The work schedule of a Guest Services employee will include opening and closing shifts during weekdays and weekends. Holiday work is required. Work may involve being around harmful chemicals.
Job Type- Seasonal
In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, this position is not eligible for overtime for hours work over 40 in a designated work week.
Schedule
The City of University Park is currently accepting applications for Aquatic Positions. All positions require the ability to work flexible schedules up to 40 hours per week, with a preferred start date of April 27, 2026, and the availability to work Sunday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. through 8:30 pm., including holidays and special events. Must pass a criminal background check (if 18 years old or older) and drug test.
