What are the responsibilities and job description for the FLEET TECHNICIAN III (Sanitation Rover) position at City of Surprise?
Summary
Incumbents perform journey-level repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of automotive, small equipment, heavy duty trucks and equipment. Incumbents mentor Fleet Technicians I and Fleet Technicians II on solid waste vehicles, construction equipment, grapple trucks, and other heavy-duty applications.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Vocational degree and four years of directly-related heavy equipment repair experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher.
Must have at time of hire EPA 609 A/C refrigerant handlers card (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
Must at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid DOT Medical Certification Card.
