What are the responsibilities and job description for the POLICE TRAINING SUPERVISOR position at City of Surprise, AZ?
SUMMARY
Incumbents are working supervisors and supervise subordinate staff and collateral duty instructors in developing and implementing department-wide training programs and training initiatives; incumbents are working supervisors responsible for ensuring the coordination, training, organization, upkeep and maintenance of the department training records for both AZ POST audits and CALEA proofs. Incumbents manage line-item budgetary information related to training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED, and five years of job-related experience in training and development, law enforcement or a similar role. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Police agency training experience is preferred.
Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
Must have or be able to attain and maintain an Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Terminal Operator Certification (TOC), Level B, within one (1) week of hire.
