What are the responsibilities and job description for the POLICE COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFICER - FRONT DESK position at City of Surprise, AZ?
SUMMARY
Incumbents are non-sworn employees who perform non-emergency support services at the front desk of the lobby of the Police Department building and at the customer service/security desk in the lobby of the City Hall building. Primary responsibilities and duties include responding to visitor inquiries, providing directions, handling calls (walk-ins, over the phone, and e-mail) for service not requiring the presence of a sworn officer; taking and writing reports; receiving evidence and found property; and assisting investigations by making initial contact with other law enforcement agencies and courts, tow companies, retail stores, victims, and suspects and offenders
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of directly-related experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire, and be able to maintain, a valid Arizona Drivers License
Must be able to obtain and maintain the ACJIS/NCIC Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire date.
