What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATRON SERVICES COORDINATOR position at City of Surprise, AZ?
The Patron Services Coordinator is a new role in a new presenting program at the City of Surprise. As a part of a collaborative and expanding team, you’ll lead front-of-house operations, develop welcoming customer service practices, and create a volunteer program rooted in inclusion and connection. Operating out of the Vista Center for the Arts and other venues in Surprise, you’ll shape policies, training, and customer-services practices that ensure every patron feels welcomed, valued, and inspired. SUMMARY
This position is responsible for coordination of Surprise Art’s front-of-house operations for public events and programs. Responsibilities include overseeing box office operations, implementation of the volunteer program, concessions, security scheduling, parking management, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to create a welcoming space, provide quality customer service, and ensure public safety.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and three (3) years’ experience in box-office operations and/or management of events, with experience supervising staff and/or volunteers. Applicable experience may include front-of-house operations, guest experience coordination, volunteer management, box office operations, and/or catering services. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in performing arts, arts management, business, hospitality or a degree related to the core functions of the position is preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
