What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD position at City of Surprise, AZ?
SUMMARY
Incumbents serve as a lead to staff and perform master-level skilled activities and quality control activities in multiple trades, including general building maintenance, electrical systems, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) systems. Work includes maintenance, repair, installation, and inspection of City facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems. Incumbents serve as lead workers over Maintenance Technician – Senior, Electrician, and HVAC Specialist positions by assigning and monitoring work, reviewing completed tasks, providing technical direction, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, safety regulations, and operational standards. Incumbents also operate and train others in the use of specialized tools, equipment, and control systems; maintain maintenance records; manage inventory; and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Vocational Degree and five years of experience in facilities maintenance, including general building maintenance, electrical, and/or HVAC work; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License. Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification-Preferred. Electrician Certifications-Preferred
