Technology Support Assistant

The City of Sunnyside is currently accepting applications for the position of Technology Support Assistant. This position works under the direction of the Technology Systems Manager and provides technological and administrative support for all City-related equipment and software maintenance and repairs. The Technology Support Assistant will be responsible for reviewing the daily work order requests and resolving issues based on priority. Essential Job Functions

• Review tickets daily and work to resolve open tickets based on priority; update the records to reflect the progress and completion.
• Use, create, and update the Standard Operating Procedures for tasks.
• Prepare equipment for deployment, according to established procedures.
• Install equipment at designated locations.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and correct problems occurring within systems or programs.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• One (1) year experience in Information Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of the operation and support of personal computer systems and the ability to troubleshoot hardware.
• Ability to work with users in stressful situations and communicate with them to resolve their issues efficiently to obtain resolution.
