What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker - Wastewater Plant Operator In Training position at City of Sunnyside?
The City of Sunnyside, located in Yakima County in southeastern Washington, is accepting applications for a Full-time OIT (Waste Water Operator in Training). Under general supervision of the Waste Water Supervisor, the incumbent will perform regular and recurring processes of maintenance and repairs for the City sewer systems and facilities. The OIT will perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the operations, maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment in a wastewater treatment plant and related installations.

Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED. -Two (2) year experience in water or sewer maintenance or general construction. -Bi-lingual preferred not required. -One (1) year experience in a Lab or in a Waste Water Facility.
Special Requirements
-Valid Washington State Driver’s License -Current First Aid Card and/or ability to obtain within one (1) year. -Flagger Card preferred and/or ability to obtain within one (1) year.
