Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Auditorium Manager and the guidance of the Event Coordinator, Event Staff play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient execution of events in both public and corporate settings. Primary responsibilities include setting up tables and seating, assisting guests with wayfinding throughout the venue, overall cleaning of the rented spaces before, during and post event, and operating cash registers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Setting up events, including arranging tables and chairs and installing event equipment
- Cleaning up events, including removing temporary furniture and equipment
- Monitoring events for security purposes and helping to enforce event rules
- Operating technical equipment, such as sound systems or lighting
- Maintaining a tidy event space, such as removing garbage or clearing tables
- Greet customers, take beverage orders, and prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.
- Collects cash for beverages and operates the cash register.
- Observes customers for signs of intoxication and applies techniques of alcohol management.
- Sets up, stocks, clears and removes service areas and bars.
- Washes and stacks glassware.
- Maintains records on the quantities of beverages consumed at an event and assists supervisor with recording inventory.
- Cleans work area and removes trash.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks to prepare for events such as assisting in room set-up.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from a Techniques of Alcohol Management course.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
