Description
The Camera Operator is responsible for operating video inspection equipment used to examine sewer lines and for cleaning sewer lines.
Examples of Duties
- Operates the video inspection equipment used to examine sewer lines;
- Operates a sewer rodding machine and vacuum to clear sewer lines;
- Sets up traffic control equipment at job sites;
- Patrols City to detect sewer leaks and stoppages;
- Inspects service connections;
- Assists with underground inspections of sanitary and storm sewers;
- Locates water and sewer mains and lines;
- Responds to customer complaints concerning problems with water and sewer services;
- Answer emergency calls as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Six (6) months of experience in a related field;
- Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and
- Valid State of Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B);
- Wastewater Collection System certification within 12 months of employment.
