Duties
- Conduct landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening activities.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as edging, aerating, fertilizing, and soil preparation.
- Manage pesticide application following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as chainsaws, lawnmowers, blowers, and other landscaping machinery.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials like soil, mulch, plants, and equipment to support ongoing maintenance projects.
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, sharpening blades, and scheduled servicing to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting tools, materials, or personnel between sites.
- Follow safety procedures related to power tool use and landscaping equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, gardening, horticulture principles, and land management.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes; power tools including chainsaws and trimmers; safety equipment for power tool use.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with pesticide management regulations and application procedures.
- Experience operating groundskeeping machinery such as mowers, aerators, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to power tool operation and equipment maintenance.
