Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces across multiple areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure efficient maintenance.
- Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care procedures to preserve their appearance and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Assist with light custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, including painting touch-ups when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or structural issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial, industrial, or residential environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and floor care procedures such as buffing and waxing.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
