As a Traffic Controls Worker II, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic control signs and/or pavement markings as part of the Street Operations Division.

Traffic Controls Worker II
Experience, Education, and Training
  • Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance procedures necessary for installation of traffic control signs and/or markings.
Licensing/Certification
  • Must possess at minimum the written portion of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) exam (permit).  The skills testing portion of the Class B CDL with airbrakes must be obtained within the probationary period.  
  • Must obtain International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certification in Signs and Markings and a Work Zone Safety Certification from IMSA or the American Traffic Safety Association (ATSSA) within the probationary period.
