What You Will Be Doing
The Property and Evidence Technician is responsible for all aspects of the Police Department’s property and evidence management, including the secure intake, documentation, categorization, storage, preservation, chain-of-custody tracking, court preparation, release, transport, audit support and authorized destruction of property and evidence. The Property and Evidence Technician also functions as the liaison between the Police Department and other agencies regarding evidentiary matters. Other duties include performing technical and administrative tasks in support of the Police Department, including but not limited to assisting with the preparation and filing of DWI cases.

What You Bring To Us:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License
- Three (3) years of relevant experience is preferred
- Certified Property & Evidence Technician Certification - TAPEIT/IAPT - must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.
