Your role will involve engaging with community stakeholders to gather input, conducting research and analysis to support planning projects, and preparing reports, maps, and presentations to communicate planning concepts effectively. Additionally, you will assist in the review and evaluation of development proposals to ensure compliance with city regulations and plans. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, landscape architecture, public administration or related field and a minimum of two (2) years’ professional urban planning experience, including zoning, transportation, transit, economic development, landscaping, and/or architecture; or any such combination of education, experience, and training may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

OUR COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS SUMMARY

The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.

11 paid holidays and 2 personal leave days each calendar year.
New employees are granted 40 hours of vacation at time of hire and accrue an additional 2 weeks in their first year.
