Serves as assistant to the Center Manager with all aspects of maintaining and operating community centers.
1. May serve as coordinator at small or intermediate size community, neighborhood centers.
2. Plans or assists in planning and implementing recreational, athletic, arts, crafts, and other regular or special programs.
3. Maintains order and discipline.
4. Supervises and may provide technical instructions in arts, crafts, games, and other activities.
5. Initiates requests for recreation and athletic games and equipment, and for maintenance and repair work.
6. Submits various reports.
7. May be assigned to oversee the continuation of special programs.
8. Performs other duties as directed or required.

1. High School Diploma of GED from an accredited institution.
2. One (1) year of experience in recreational or Public Contact work is preferred.
3. Organizational ability to plan, formulate and execute policies and programs.
4. Ability to maintain harmony among workers and patrons; verbal facility; and flexibility to adjust to changing conditions.
5. Requires valid driver's license at time of employment

1. Sharpness of thought, vision, and hearing is needed to perform daily functions and communicate with patrons and staff.

5. Frequently lifting of fifty (50) pounds from floor to waist, thirty-five (35) pounds from floor overhead to set up tables and chairs and stock supplies;
6. Must be able to frequent carry, push, pull, fifty (50) pounds of weights, supplies, workout equipment, carts, game balls/equipment, and material up to 100 feet;
7. Occasional carry/move up to 100 pounds of weights, supplies, and materials up to ten (10) feet
8. Fine motor skills along with firm grasp and frequent reaching below shoulder and overhead due to the occasional use of hand tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Work in this position involves activities that are performed indoors as well as outdoors in extreme temperatures.
2. Work is performed in a public recreation facility where high volume and noise can be a distraction.
3. Will have frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Salary : $2,487 - $3,860
