What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Member, Buildings position at City of Shreveport?
Cleans and performs maintenance and upkeep to all work areas and fields. Facilitates all events and programs that occur on City property.
CREW LEADER, BUILDINGS
- Performs janitorial work.
- May be required to move, lift, carry, set up, take down and store furniture, supplies and materials.
- May be required to make minor repairs and adjustments to furniture and fixtures.
- May be required to operate floor buffer, vacuum cleaner and be required to operate rug shampoo machine.
- Replenishes restroom supplies.
- Cleans floors, baseboards, walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, lavatories, commodes, urinals, ash trays, stairs, wastebaskets, and empties refuse containers.
- May mow, cut and prepare all fields, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- One (1) year experience in related work.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions and perform assigned tasks.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able lift, push and pull up to 100 pounds; carry up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and ladders; balance, stoop, twist, bend repeatedly, squat, crawl, run, grasp, move wrists repeatedly, reach overhead, use both hands, arms and legs; work at heights above 10 feet and in confined spaces; speak, hear, touch; see at a distance and up close; and have finger dexterity, depth perception and color vision.
- May require sedentary to light work with some reaching, handling, fingering, and/or feeling of objects and materials.
- May require the ability to exert light to moderately heavy physical effort with some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- May involve some lifting, carrying, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate to moderately heavy weight (12-50 pounds).
- May require odor, texture and visual perception with discrimination.
- Must be performed with or without accommodations.
- Will be exposed to strong odors, toxic/poisonous agents, smoke, fumes, gas, dirt, dust, grease, oil, pollen, chemicals, solvents, loud noise While performing job, will be exposed to smoke, fumes, gas, loud noise, dirt, dust, grease, oil, pesticides, chemicals, solvents and toxic agents; and work in inclement weather.
- May work indoors or outdoors in inclement weather.
