MANDATORY LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION TRAINING FOR SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL TAKE PLACE ON MAY 29, 30, AND 31.
This is a part-time position with a regular schedule consisting of weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday)

Provide for the safety and enjoyment of patrons using the pool, instruct various levels of swimming skills and aquatic programs, enforce all pool rules and regulations, and exercises responsibility for maintaining a safe environment for swimming pool activities.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives direct supervision from the Recreation Supervisor.Essential Functions:

- Keep assigned area clean and free of any and all safety hazards at all times.
- Assist in the inspection of all equipment, chemical levels and water balancing equipment.
- Supervise the conduct and or behavior of pool patrons and enforce facility rules.
- Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures of the facility.
- Be alert of hazardous situations when guarding, report serious violations to Pool Manager.
- Instruct and or assist in the instruction of aquatic programs as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years old
- One year of life guarding experience preferred.
- Work Permit if still enrolled in high school
- Current CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer
- American Red Cross Life Guarding Certificate
- WSI Certificate
