Outreach and Engagement
- Coordinate outreach, engagement, and onboarding of Child Care Centers and community-based sites participating in SFSP, Center-based meal services, and After School Meals integrated within Centers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Centers, community partners, vendors, and internal staff, providing guidance on program requirements, operational procedures, and regulatory or policy updates.
- Work collaboratively with community partners such as Seattle Public Schools, Seattle Parks and Recreation, United Way, and other agency partners to coordinate, launch, and operate the City of Seattle Summer Food Program at over 50 sites citywide.
- Provide ongoing customer service and technical consultation to participating sites to support program participation, address operational issues, and promote consistent service delivery.
Training and Monitoring
- Coordinate, develop, and support annual and ongoing trainings for Centers and participating sites, including onboarding of new sites and staff, refresher trainings, and technical assistance to ensure compliance with USDA and OSPI requirements.
- Conduct site monitoring visits and follow-up technical assistance for SFSP and Center-based meal sites in accordance with federal, state, and City monitoring cadence and documentation requirements.
- Interpret and communicate federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and guidance to Centers and partners, ensuring timely implementation of changes and corrective actions.
- Support planning and coordination of spring and fall special event trainings, including logistics, materials development, and participant communication.
Administration
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day administrative operations for SFSP, Center-based meal services, and After School Meals, ensuring accurate implementation, recordkeeping, and reporting across program areas.
- Maintain program records, data tracking systems, and documentation to support reimbursement, audits, annual OSPI administrative reviews, and internal program evaluation.
- Reconcile meal counts and delivery records with food service vendors and internal staff, investigate discrepancies, and support resolution of operational challenges.
- Support supplemental nutrition initiatives, including Farm to Summer Week, Farm to Childcare, and supplemental meal programs, providing accurate data and documentation to support Grants and Contracts billing and reporting.
- Attend and participate in community meetings, trainings, and interdepartmental workgroups to promote program participation, continuous quality improvement, and alignment with departmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires one year of experience in human services administration, service delivery, community organizing, contract administration, or related experience and a baccalaureate degree in Social Science, Human Service, Business, or Public Administration (or a combination of education, training and experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and experience with child nutrition programs, such as the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Afterschool Meal Program, or other USDA or OSPI administered food and nutrition programs.
- Experience using child nutrition program data and reporting systems, such as Minute Menu CX, WINS, KidKare, or similar systems.
- Experience providing community-based customer service and technical assistance to diverse partners, including schools, community-based organizations, and childcare providers.
- Experience coordinating, implementing, or leading trainings, including onboarding and compliance-focused trainings.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple internal and external partners toward shared program goals or service outcomes.
- Background or professional experience in food and nutrition, food access, or food insecurity.
- Strong attention to detail, including accurate data entry, recordkeeping, and clear written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint for documentation, reporting, and collaboration.

The pay range for this role is $42.17 - $49.08 hourly.
