- Maintains assigned equipment; completes minor repairs; washes and greases equipment.
- Inspects equipment prior to use.
- Transports equipment to job sites.
- Ensures that work sites are compliant with safety guidelines.
- Mows the city’s canals and ditches with boom mower or bush hog.
- Operates bobcat with attachment
- Maintains rights-of-way, streets, and sidewalks.
- Maintains, inspects, and operates various hand and power tools and small equipment, such as weed trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and mowers.
- Sets up traffic control devices around work sites.
- Performs general landscape maintenance, including blowing, weed eating.
- Removes litter, debris, weeds, and wild growth; cleans waste and leaves, and debris; loads materials on trucks.
- Trims hedges and prunes landscape plants.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
