The City of Roanoke is Pool Lifeguards to perform responsible, professional, specialized work as it pertains to public safety and recreational work in enforcing rules, regulations, and preventing injuries at aquatic fitness facilities. Performs necessary maintenance tasks in order to continually maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere. Minimum valid certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent. Minimum valid certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR for Professional Rescuer or equivalent required. Flexible schedule with approximately 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks from late May through August (daytime, some evenings and weekends).
