What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Technologist position at City of Riviera Beach?
Summary Objective
Under general supervision, performs a variety of highly skilled technical tasks relating to control systems, PLC's, SCADA systems, networking, databases, and cybersecurity installation, maintenance, and service for Utility Special District owned and maintained systems. Work involves risks associated with high voltages (up to 480 volts) and may include responsibility for controlling control system emergencies. Mandatory scheduled standby rotation and after hours call-outs, and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or an accredited technical school with specialized training in electronics, information systems or a related field (Education will be verified) and four (4) years' experience in PLC and SCADA systems or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
A valid Florida driver's license is required.
