What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Program Supervisor - Permits and Scheduling position at City of Richmond?
The Recreation Program Supervisor will work under the direction of the Recreation Program Manager for Special Events/Permits.
This position will provide strategic planning for Special Events. Supervise staff who are assigned to the areas of operation and programming. Conduct performance evaluations for staff, interns, temporary staff and volunteers. Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the scheduling division. Serves as lead operational supervisor for designated events & programs. Assist with Creating reports and maintaining equipment. Issuance of facility permits and review and updating of standard operation procedures Work weekends and evening events. Conduct site tours
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, business or public administration
- Five years of professional recreational programming and parks or facilities management experience.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Some assignments may require a background check, additional certifications and a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
- Assignments involving transportation may require a Commercial Driver's License.
