Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees municipal off-street parking operations, including contracted vendors and facility maintenance across assigned geographic areas- Manages maintenance project, including consultant coordination, prioritization, plan review and decision making
- Analyzes parking utilization to understand the balance of parking supply and demand
- Develops and implement program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives to support operational excellence
- Responds to service related inquires and concerns by researching complaints and implementing operational improvements
- This position will require the use of a City-owned in order to perform field work on a regular basis
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree or 2 Years of College in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field; 5 to 7 years’ experience in parking enforcement, parking system management, or related workOR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Certified Administrator of Public Parking (may be required)

Work Environment and Physical Effort:
Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office or similar environment and occasionally in an outdoor or street environment (near moving traffic), in or around vehicles and in a warehouse environment.
Work Exposures:
There is occasional exposure to individuals who are hostile or irate.
