Job Description
The site manager position in athletics will include responsibilities associated with the total organization of youth, adult athletic leagues, and special events. The position will assist with the administration and facility management of the athletic fields and facilities during departmental programming and facility rentals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include program administration, program supervision and evaluation, monitoring facilities, customer service,officeresponsibilities,specialprojectsneededforspecificareas,andresearch.Abilitytocollaborate with other program areas within the Recreation Division, as well aswiththeParksDivision'sFieldMaintenance.Otherrelatedwork is required.
Typical Qualifications
KnowledgeandSkills:
Strong computer skills and cash handling experience are helpful. Multi-task oriented is a must. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends,inanoutdoorenvironment.Mustbeabletostandandwalkfor extended periods without sitting.
MinimumRequirements:
You must be at least 18 years of age, have a strong interest and knowledge of the different sports offered to the public. Candidates should be task and project-oriented, possess good organizational and communication skills, and be able to complete assigned tasks without supervision. A good driving record is needed to obtain a city driver’s license. Candidates must also pass a background check and drug test as a term of employment. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. The candidate needs a flexible schedule to fulfill position duties.
